Reliability and Validity of an Interview Assessment of Attachment Representations in a Clinical Sample of Adolescents.
Scharfe, Elaine
Journal of Adolescent Research, v17 n5 p532-51 Sep 2002
Assessed reliability, construct, and discriminant validity of Bartholemew's four-category model of attachment in a clinical sample of adolescents. Found that Family Attachment Interview codings of attachment representations were reliable, with possible limitations of categorical assignments. Attachment representations were not associated with cognitive ability but were associated with latent variables of avoidance and anxiety. (JPB)
