A Reinforcement Study on Service Courses in Mathematics and Statistics

In an introductory statistics course for social science freshmen, homework assignments were written on the blackboard by students at the beginning of each tutorial session and discussed by the class. This group obtained higher grades than a comparison group whose homework was collected and marked by the instructor. (MM)
