Future collaborative teacher training programs must meet customer needs and foster more shared responsibility. This article considers a medical-school model that offers only graduate-level training, requires training programs to control their own admissions, relocates teacher-educators' offices and coursework in selected school buildings, and establishes an extended residency period.
