The article reports the results of three studies designed to extend the psychometric analyses of cultural intelligence (CQ) and to examine its utility in the prediction of cross-cultural adaptation. Original formulations of the Work Locus of Control Scale (WLCS) proposed a unidimensional structure of this measure; however, more recently, evidence for a two-dimensional structure has been reported, with separate subscales for internal and external loci of control. The current study evaluates the one- and two-factor models with confirmatory…

Hamilton, Richard J.; Akhter, Selina – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 2002
Studied the construct validity of the dimensions of the Multidimensional-Multiattributional Causality Scale based on B. Wiener's attribution model (1979) in achievement and affiliation goal domains. Results for 172 New Zealand college students provide evidence that the measure is better used as a goal specific measure than a general measure. (SLD)

Walkey, Frank H.; Green, Dianne E. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1992
Six sets of data from previous studies are used to investigate the factor structure of the Maslach Burnout Inventory. In all 6 sets, the 22 inventory items divided between 2 clearly replicable factors. The larger, the Core of Burnout Factor, divides in turn into two equally replicable factors. (SLD)

Green, Dianne E.; Walkey, Frank H. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1988
The factor structure of the Maslach Burnout Inventory was analyzed via principal components analysis of data from America (n=469 teachers) and New Zealand (n=244 female nurses). The analysis, which included varimax rotations, indicated that the inventory measures depersonalization, emotional exhaustion, and lack of personal accomplishment. (TJH)

Craft, A. Cedric – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1982
The validity of spelling tests in several formats was investigated against the criterion of an estimate of spelling accuracy in ranked writing samples. The correlation between writing samples and spelling production was greater than with recognition of correct spelling. Variations in reliability and rankings were not responsible for the…
