Mothers' and Fathers' Perception of Family Functioning in Families Having Children with Disabilities.
Crowley, Susan L.; Taylor, Matthew
Early Education and Development, v5 n3 p213-25 Jul 1994
Examined the relationship between mothers' and fathers' perceptions of family functioning in families with disabled children. Three measures of family functions indicated that mothers and fathers have different perceptions of family functioning, identify different stressors, and report different sources of support as helpful. Results suggest considering the perceptions of only one parent is insufficient for research or intervention purposes. (TM)
