Examined students' perceptions of the role and purpose of cocurricular activities at the University of Virginia. Students (N=160) completed the Cocurricular Activities Appraisal instrument. Results yielded a profile of the typical student leader and information about how his/her expectations had been met by cocurricular activities. (PAS)
