Examines one factor of acculturation--the concentration of ethnics in a community--which can limit the salience of the host culture and increase the salience of the ethnic culture. Focusing on the acculturation of Hispanics in Anglo culture, notes that the concentration of Hispanics in a community was positively related to certain Spanish-language communication behaviors. (MM)
