In this research, the level of quality of the qualitative research design used and the analytic mistakes made in the doctorate dissertations carried out in the field of education science in Turkey have been tried to be identified. Case study design has been applied in the study in which qualitative research techniques have been used. The universe of work of the research consists of the doctorate dissertations done in the field of Education Science between the years 2003-2007 with a total sum of 324 doctorate dissertations. In the research, by not choosing a sampling, the whole universe could be reached. From within the universe, 38 dissertations research samplings in each of which qualitative research design has been used have built up the sampling. In the research, data collected through epistemological document analysis has been resolved by using frequency analysis, descriptive analysis and typological analysis.
