An organization tends to seek out the best set of practices in order to achieve project success. Many organizations are implementing a Project Management Office (PMO) to serve as a central post for organizing and disseminating best practices. The PMO responsibilities in part is to examine all practices, old and new, to best determine which practices will work best for the organization as a whole. This study sought to determine if there was a correlation between PMOs supporting the implementation of innovative project management techniques and methods to increases in project success rates. Through examining whether a PMO supporting the implementation of new techniques and methods for project management had resulted in increases to the levels of project successes, this study determined there is a possible correlation between the two factors. The findings of this study were based upon survey provided data supplied by Project Managers (PMs). The findings indicated the respondents noted the perception of PMO supporting innovative techniques and methodology assisted in successful completion of current and future projects.
