Does the Community College Experience Affect Critical Thinking and Moral Reasoning?
Rykiel, Joan Devlin
Michigan Community College Journal: Research & Practice, v6 n2 p47-60 Fall 2000
Assesses the net effects of community college attendance on moral reasoning and critical thinking skills, examining the conditional effects of age and off-campus employment on the two dependent measures. Finds that sophomores scored significantly higher than freshmen on both measures, and that students with longer work schedule hours had significantly higher critical thinking scores, and lower moral reasoning scores, than students with fewer work hours.
