Games are for playing, more often than not playing a game is a social experience, it is fun, and we all enjoy playing games. Play and playing are ways in which we learn, so how often are games part of the normal activity of the mathematics classroom? The answer, in most cases, has to be--not often. Is it that games just don't seem to fulfil the promise in terms of learning, when it comes to mathematics?, or do they? Here is an approach that seeks to investigate the impact of playing games in the mathematics classroom on learning. (Contains 1 table.)
