The study related the role of the maternal figure to the affective behavior of the Mexican. Two hundred adolescents judged the concept of "Insult to the Mother" in relation to other similarly charged affective concepts, e.g., "death", "suicide", "drunkenness", etc. Results showed that "Insult to the Mother" was viewed very negatively.
