This packet contains both a teacher's guide and a student activity book designed to help adult students learn about health and family living. Both booklets cover the following topics: health in the home, safety in the home (safety tips concerning children, tips on indoor safety, first aid), helping children with school activities, leisure time and recreation, and food and nutrition. The teacher's guide contains content information and a step-by-step guide to each lesson. It also contains a glossary, a bibliography of health and family living materials, a materials grid, and a list of related sources and projects. The student activity book includes information sheets, vocabulary exercises based on the content of the lessons, and activity sheets. A glossary and answer key to the exercises are included. (KC)
