First Course in Japanese: Character Workbook.
This character workbook is an introduction to Japanese writing designed to be used in conjunction with Parts One and Two of this introductory course in Japanese. All the "hiragana", several "katakana", and 88 Japanese characters are introduced in this text. The workbook, consisting of 30 lessons, is divided into three parts. Exercises are coordinated with the romanized texts. This workbook adheres to the prescription issued by the Japanese government concerning "kana" orthography.
