This resource guide is designed to assist educators by identifying materials that will develop the skills tested on the mathematics section of the New Jersey High School Proficiency Test (HSPT). Major sections included are: (1) "Introduction" (describing background information on the HSPT and format of this guide); (2) "Mathematics Skills Assessed on the High School Proficiency Test" (listing seven clusters and specific skills); (3) "Software" (providing a matrix illustrating the grade level and the HSPT skill of 102 software packages and a list of producers; and (4) "Video Programming" (presenting a matrix illustrating the grade level and the HSPT skill of 136 video programs and a list of sources for the programs). Each software or video program has its grade level, instructional mode, system requirements, or length specified. Twenty-three references are listed. Appendix A contains addresses of three Educational Technology Training Centers and lists of periodicals and documents. Appendix B contains a software identification form and an evaluation form for this guide. (YP)
