A Comparison of For-Profit and Traditional Universities' Student Persistence, Graduation Rate, and Job Placement
Sandlin, Deborah L.
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, Trevecca Nazarene University
This research project is a study comparing for-profit schools and traditional universities related to student persistence, graduation rate, and job placement. The results based on a sample size of 92 students indicate that there is no significant difference between persistence, graduation rates and successful job placement at either school. There are; however, some significant differences within specific concepts such as the percentages of students who are persistently enrolled in for-profit schools, graduation rates and financial aid benefits.
