This senior high school curriculum guide offers a general overview of the American business system and a study of various forms of business ownership, internal organization and management functions of business, and the financing of business. Ten areas are explored in the course: (1) capitalism; (2) money, credit, and banking; (3) government and the economy; (4) inflation and deflation; (5) planning, organizing, motivating, and controlling functions of management; (6) job design; (7) leadership; (8) communications; (9) ethics of business management; and (10) decision-making and problem-solving techniques. For each content area, the guide provides a list of objectives, vocabulary terms, a topic outline, suggested activities/procedures, and suggested evaluation methods.
