This report is part of a subseries entitled "Marine Flora and Fauna of the Northeastern United States" which is designed for use by biology students, biologists, biological oceanographers and informed laymen. Contents of this report include: (1) Introduction; (2) Key to Sipuncula (Peanut Worms); (3) Annotated Systematic List of Species; (4) Selected Bibliography; (5) Index to Scientific Names; and (6) Editor's Comments. This report is an account of the five species of Sipuncula living in shallow marine waters (down to 200 m) from Maine to Virginia. Four of these are widespread elsewhere in the world.
