Examined employment patterns of chief student affairs officers in a national sample varied by sex, race, and institutional type. Responding institutions (N=1,391) had the following representation: White men, 833 (75 percent); white women, 156 (14 percent); male minorities, 100 (9 percent); female minorities, 22 (2 percent).
