Larson's Social Cognitive Model of Counselor Training is located among extant training and supervision models. Three general observations about SCMCT are made, and five specific elements relating to supervisor functions are discussed: (1) modeling; (2) social persuasion; (3) supervisor feedback; (4) supervisor self-efficacy; (5) declarative and procedural knowledge.
