Teacher and student editions of this document are one in a series of competency-based instructional materials for diesel technology programs. The series aligns with the medium/heavy diesel duty truck task list used by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence in the certification of medium/heavy duty truck technicians. Introductory pages in the teacher edition are training and competency profile, instructional/task analysis, basic skills icons and classifications, and basic skills matrix.
