This guidebook for teachers is accompanied by a student workbook. The investigations are intended to offer students an opportunity to study the effects of air temperature on air density and movement, the circulation of air and how it changes the amount of precipitation in the area around the Great Lakes, and the implications of the "lake effect" for the economy of northern Ohio.
