This resource book consists of lessons and resource materials designed to assist teachers in conducting group and individual activities to help students develop pre-employment career skills. Provided first are instructional units addressing the following topics: self-appraisal (interests, attitudes, and aptitudes; goal setting and decision making; and values clarification); job search (pre-employment skills, resumes, job applications, and employment interviews); and job success (employer and employee expectations, getting along on the job, promotion and career ladders, and job termination). Each unit contains a series of lessons, each of which include some or all of the following: objectives, suggestions for classroom presentation, and exercises.
