How Do We Group Wildlife? Teacher's Guide and Student Guide, Grade 5.
Depenbusch, Joyce Harmon
This publication is a part of a series of materials in the Wildlife Education Service for Kansas youth series. The goal of the program is to provide information about wildlife and to establish in children an awareness and appreciation of wildlife. A booklet for children and a teacher's guide are included. The booklet was written for fifth-grade children but can be easily adapted for other grades. The materials are designed for multidisciplinary use. The teacher's guide includes the following materials: (1) an introduction and foreword; (2) an opinionnaire about the materials; (3) a student award form; (4) ideas for classroom bulletin boards; (5) reproducible worksheets for students; (6) supplemental activities and approaches for language arts, science, art, industrial arts, mathematics, social studies, music, and physical education; and (7) appendices which list resources and references, and includes a glossary of terms used in teaching this topic.
