Established in 1984 by organizations the Donkey Sanctuary and the International League for the Protection of Horses in conjunction with the National Autonomous University of Mexico's School of Veterinary Medicine, an outreach program seeks to provide veterinary care to animals in suburban underprivileged areas of Mexico City and other urban centers in Mexico. Veterinary students gain hands-on experience while offering emergency care to sick and wounded animals.
