This study surveyed 49 women trustees at land-grant universities concerning the reasons they accepted their positions, offering perspectives on the skills needed to be a trustee and sharing advice with women preparing for the role or who have recently become trustees. The study notes that currently fewer that 20% of trustees at public institutions are women. (Author/DB)
