Investigating Biases in Trainee Counsellors' Attitudes to Clients from Different Cultures.
Pearce, Anita
British Journal of Guidance and Counselling, v22 n3 p417-28 1994
Conducted two studies to explore assumptions that trainee counselors who are members of the indigenous population will exhibit biased attitudes when they are confronted with case histories of clients from other ethnic groups. Data indicate respondents showed more favorable patterns of attribution for white clients than those of other ethnic groups. Discrimination was evident in biased attributions for some clients. (KW)
