Contributing to the Harms of Racial Isolation: Analysis of Requests for Teacher Transfers in a Large Urban School District.

Data on teacher transfer requests in a large metropolitan school district were correlated with the schools' percentages of minority students, using a Markov analysis to predict possible trends. The results showed a potential "flight" of higher quality teachers away from minority populated inner-city schools. (Author/RW)
