Influences of Empowerment Dimensions in an Educational Context: An Empirical Investigation amongst Maltese Teachers.
Cassar, Vincent; Debono, Emanuel
Mediterranean Journal of Educational Studies, v5 n1 p177-89 2000
Examined the influence of four empowerment dimensions (decision latitude, job responsibility, job involvement, and enabling environment) on work-related outcome behaviors (e.g., intrinsic motivation, job satisfaction, intention to turnover, commitment, and job frustration) among Maltese teachers. Job involvement contributed significantly to nearly all outcome behaviors; enabling environment and job responsibility were important; and decision latitude hardly contributed at all. (SM)
