Comparison of Some Personality Characteristics of Male Problem Drinkers in Rural Tennessee.
Mookherjee, Harsha N.
Journal of Alcohol and Drug Education, v31 n2 p23-28 Win 1986
White male adults living in rural Tennessee were administered the Michigan Alcoholism Screening Test to classify their degree of alcohol abuses. Results indicated alcoholics experienced more powerlessness, attributed slightly less control to external environmental forces, and had lower sense of self-esteem than nonalcoholics. In addition, alcoholics were more inclined toward sensation-seeking. (Author/BL)
