Academic Freedom: Under Siege from Claims of Liberal Bias
Salas, Alexandra
Education Digest: Essential Readings Condensed for Quick Review, v72 n4 p55-59 Dec 2006
As the concern over liberal bias has become more widely broadcast with regard to the subject of academic freedom, it does not come as a surprise that there should be some faculty members who either redress or else shy away from engaging in dialogue that might be considered to be controversial or invite debate with its discussion. This article presents the arguments of professors on both sides of the liberal bias debate, focusing on the views of those who claim that liberal bias is rampant in today's institutions of higher learning.
