Quality of Life for Workers with Developmental Disabilities: Fact or Fiction?
Sands, Deanna J.; And Others
Career Development for Exceptional Individuals, v15 n2 p157-77 Fall 1992
Interviews with 76 working adults with developmental disabilities suggested that full-time employment did little to improve their quality of life. Interviews covered subjects' physical and material well-being, relations with others, personal development and fulfillment, social activities, community and civic activities, and productivity. Issues of accessibility, place of residence, and personal autonomy are raised. (DB)
