Third Annual Desegregation Status Report for Public Postsecondary Education Institutions in the State of Maryland. Volume III: Student Enrollment by Program.
Maryland State Board for Higher Education, Annapolis.
In 1974, the State of Maryland adopted a plan for the desegregation of public post secondary educational institutions. In accordance with that plan, this volume includes statistical data on student enrollment for Fall 1976. Detailed data is presented according to student standing in program, full or part time status, degree sought, and program area of enrollment. In addition to a statistical breakdown by individual institution, data are also given for the aggregate units: "public statewide total", total in "predominantly black institutions", and total in "predominantly white institutions". Brief summaries of the trends shown in the tables are offered. Ethnic categories studied include: American black, Indian, Asian, Hispanic and white; "foreign"; and "other/unknown". (GC)
