Inclusive Leadership and Career Adaptability: The Mediating Role of Organization-Based Self-Esteem and the Moderating Role of Organizational Justice

The objective of this research is to test the impact of supervisor inclusive leadership on subordinate career adaptability skill, as well as conceptualized the organization-based self-esteem (OBSE) as a mediator and organizational justice as a moderator in this relation. Data were gathered applying two-way research design for survey. Respondents were drawn from 297 subordinates and 98 supervisors from higher education institutions of Pakistan. Monte Carlo simulation method, moderated path analysis and hierarchical regression were applied to examine the proposed associations. OBSE mediated the relationship of inclusive leadership and career adaptability. Both the association among OBSE and career adaptability and the indirect association among inclusive leadership and career adaptability were stronger when organizational justice was high. This research implications and limitations are also added.
