Focuses on hindrances and problems confronting the adolescent and counselor when adolescents have to surrender their right to accept or refuse treatment, based on Ohio law. Several case studies illustrate implications for adolescents and counselors. Parents' rights are discussed, and suggestions are given for counselors working toward change. (Author/JAC)
