The pattern of use of psychiatry over a 12-month period in a university-based primary care center is reported. Interest in pursuing careers in family practice and amount of time spent in the center were related to seeking consultation. Parental attitudes toward the health services provided at their children's school were assessed. Results showed that parents surveyed did accept school health services as part of their child's total health care. No relationship was found between parental expectations and family characteristics. Thirty physicians' perceptions of their rates of prescribing an antianxiety drug were found to differ from their actual rates. When informed of this discrepancy, significant changes in prescribing behavior occurred. Implications for continuing medical education are discussed. (MSE)

A survey to determine the extent to which interdisciplinary health team concepts are being taught as part of the undergraduate curriculum in U.S. and Canadian medical schools is reported.
