Developed in accordance with "Rules, Regulations, and Minimum Standards" of the Tennessee State Board of Education, this publication serves as a basis for developing science curriculum guides for teachers of science in grades K-8. In this framework, science skills are listed by grade groups: K-2; 3-4; 5-6; and 7-8. These skills are categorized as process skills, reading/study skills, and interpersonal relations and attitudes. Goals, concepts, and terminal objectives are stated by grade level for each science area. Science areas include physical science; life science; earth and space sciences; and environmental sciences. A system which entails a call number is employed with each of the terminal objectives. (ML)
