The positiveness of self-concept and self-esteem of Mexican American and Anglo students in grades 3 through 8 was assessed in physical maturity, peer relations, academic success, and school adaptiveness. While self-concept and self-esteem changed across grades, there was no evidence of different developmental patterns for the two groups. (Author/NQ)
