Phonological Awareness Instruction for Middle School Students with Learning Disabilities.

Forty middle school students with learning disabilities identified as having phonological awareness deficits were provided with phonological awareness instruction to investigate the effectiveness of the instruction on phonological awareness and word recognition skills. Results indicated that following instruction, students improved on word identification skills and phonological awareness skills. (Contains references.) (CR)
