Library peer evaluation for promotion and special merit increase was introduced at the Bouillon Library, Central Washington State College, in the 1971-72 academic year. The evaluations, in addition to reinforcing the dean of library services' recommendations, revealed how the librarians rated each other by department, position, and sex. (Author)
