Among the findings were that the clients were able to show greater pathology on the MMPI profiles when they attempted to exaggerate and that the mean malingering profile of the subjects simulates a psychotic pattern not a severe psychoneurosis. Gathered MMPI and demographic data on six groups, each of 25 men who required psychological pretrial assessment. The groups differed according to offense type.
