Lopes, Joao; Cruz, Conceicao; Rutherford, Robert B., Jr.
Education and Treatment of Children, v25 n4 p476-95 Nov 2002
A two-year study involving 173 Portuguese fifth-graders found students who were rejected by their peers were more disruptive, aggressive, and had more trouble with teachers. Students who were rated as lower status students (rejected and neglected) achieved poorly in 5th grade and more poorly in 6th grade. (Contains references.) (CR)
