A Simple Flotation De-Linking Experiment for the Recycling of Paper

A laboratory exercise for the flotation de-linking of wastepaper is described, which consists of disintegrating printed wastepaper in a blender and then removing the ink or toner contaminants by pumping air bubbles through suspension using an aquarium pump or other source of air bubbles. The exercise has proven extremely reliable and consistent in its performance.
