Operant Reinforcement with Structural Family Therapy in Treating Anorexia Nervosa

The authors successfully treated two families in which the index patients were anorectic adolescent girls by combining structural family therapy with behavioral modification techniques. Phases which appear to be typical of the treatment are described. A discussion of the value of the operant reinforcement procedure in family therapy follows. (Author)
