National Survey of Teacher and Supervisor Selection Procedures in Fifty-Four Large Public School Systems in the United States.
Teitelbaum, Deena; McLaughlin, James H.
This survey was conducted to determine what policies and practices are currently used on a national level in the selection of teachers and supervisors and what are the differences in selection procedures between New York City and other large city school systems. The population for the survey was based on the 62 largest cities in the United States according to the 1973 Census statistics. Results of the survey are presented in tabular form, and a copy of the questionnaire is appended. (JD)
