Serving as a resource for K-8 teachers who wish to offer children books that reflect the cultural diversity of American society, this book presents annotations of nearly 400 books (published between 1990 and 1992) about African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans/Latinos, and Native Americans. The annotated bibliography also lists books involving people and countries in Africa, Asia, South and Central America, and the Caribbean, as well as relevant books set in Mexico, Canada, or England. Also included are works that focus on interracial and intercultural topics, issues, and relationships.
