The final report of a 3-year child abuse project (PFL-Panel for Family Living) cites progress in goal areas and includes papers presented at regional and local seminars. Provided are reports on the following topics: child abuse in non-white communities in Pierce County (Washington); PFL client characteristics and service provision; a parent advocacy approach to child abuse and neglect; community response to the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect; evaluation of an on-going treatment program; data collection; and identification of factors which discriminate parents who abuse their children from parents who do not. A public policy handbook, designed to explain the workings of the juvenile justice system in child abuse cases, is also included. (CL)
