This report summarizes the activities of Colorado College in establishing a Southwestern Studies Program. Designed for the undergraduate level, this program is an interdisciplinary, interracial cultural study of the American southwest including its land, people, the relations of land and people, and racial and cultural issues. The report includes the descriptions of the following activities, programs, and curriculum: the director's role, college faculty travel and enrichment program, course development and research, visiting faculty program, Southwest Administrators' and Educators' Conference, curriculum and special programs, off campus programs, the southwest summer institute, core curriculum, and folklore collections.
