Enhancing the Presence of Minorities in Graduate Schools: What Works for Some Institutions.
Phillip, Mary-Christine
Black Issues in Higher Education, v10 n10 p33-35 Jul 15 1993

Strategies include financial aid, faculty sensitivity to minority needs, minority faculty as role models and mentors, support systems, firm administrative commitment, and recruiting students in groups rather than individually. Student adjustment to the institution is crucial to success. (MSE)
