A survey of pharmaceutical manufacturing executives (n=52) and pharmacy educators (n=15) found both groups expect some form of managed health care plan to cover 45 percent of outpatient prescriptions by 1994, 70 percent in 1999. They agreed pharmacists will need more business education and technicians will play an increasing role in dispensing. (Author/MSE)
